Zombieland

Zombieland was released in theaters a couple months ago. I got the chance to see it on premier night. Least to say it's going to be a definitive staple in one's zombie collection.

-UPDATE-
After getting a quality version of this movie and watching it several times, the novelty of the movie dies quickly. While the first time watching Zombieland can be quite enjoyable, the second, or even third time turns it into a dull bore. Instead of laughing in your stoned stupor, you question the characters, the outbreak, and the entire unreality of it all. While many came before it, Zombieland has now become the poster-child for Zombie Comedy. A sequel, (which is planned to be in 3D), is already in the works.

I find this list MOST important, beyond any advice in event of a Zombie Outbreak. You can have all the guns, armor, vehicles, and supplies in the world- but if you're an idiot... you're doomed.

Ten WORST things to do During a Zombie Outbreak

• Don't set zombies on fire.
• Don't get sentimental.
• Don't forget to shut the door behind you.
• Don't keep zombies in your basement. Even if they are your zombie family.
• Don't try to reunite with friends or family over long distances.
• Don't go down. Stay away from "basements, gullies, sewers, and anyplace else that zombies might unwittingly wander."
• Don't broadcast your presence.
• Don't stand in front of the window.
• Don't get too creative with zombie defense.
• Don't be "that one asshole," in your group.

Zombie films are always interesting because the characters always do what you shouldn't- and it's funny, because the dumb fucks die in the most horrible ways and I'm the one who ends up giggling. Zombie films wouldn't be good if the characters were complete, intelligent, badasses and knew everything to do in case of a zombie outbreak. As we prepare for the eventual zombie take-over, we should remember these rules and live by them in daily life.

Resident Evil 5 Demo

The Resident Evil 5 Demo has been on Xbox Live since the 26th and ends February 1st.

The demo consists of two levels, Public Assembly and Shanty Town, with the options of both online and offline co-op.

There is an enormous amount of reviews on the internet for the demo, so I feel like I don't have to give you one.

By the end of the day- I think I masturbated to this game over 30 times.

Survival Tips:

First Attack
There are a few tricks to deal with that first attack of Majini before the Executioner attacks. Before you enter the room, triggering the cinimatic, you can shoot some of the breakables that contain ammo, saving massive amounts of time. Don't push the bookshelf all the way in front of the left window. If you push it just over the window, the Majini will still have to break it down, this also allows you to stand directly next to the window and slash the Majini safely with your knife.

Low on Ammo?
Look everywhere- there is ammo in the most disguised places like under mangos. Search around a level with no intent of beating it to develop a strong stragety.
If all else fails, use your knife. The Majini in these levels are weak. Slash them in the head with the knife then melee them to their death.

Explosive Barrels / Electric Boxes
Lure a group of Majini past a barell and have your buddy blow them to smitherenes. Electric Power Boxes are scatterd all throughout the levels, shoot them down to electricute nearby enemies. Shoot it again after it's done to release another electric shock.

Reload Cancel
While in front of a stunned enemy, reload. While in reload animation, immediately press X, the melee attack button. You will melee the enemy and your gun will be reloaded.

Gunshot Cancel
Effective against Executioner and Chainsaw Majini. While in front of the stunned enemy, fire off a round. While in the firing animation, immediately press X, the melee attack button. You will shoot and melee the difficult Majini.

Panic Inventory
Moving items in your inventory can be a pain in the midst of battle, quickly access your inventory when you can't control the game otherwise when; in the middle of jumping through a window (temporarily invincible), just after melee attacking, or while in the midst of reloading. There are many other frames of animation where you are invincible, giving you enough time to pop up your inventory.

Dead Snow Trailer

"Zombie" Dogs a Reality - Medical Breakthrough

Pittsburgh's Safar Centre for Resuscitation Research has developed a technique in which subject's veins are drained of blood and filled with an ice-cold salt solution.

The animals are considered scientifically dead, as they stop breathing and have no heartbeat or brain activity.

But three hours later, their blood is replaced and the zombie dogs are brought back to life with an electric shock.

Plans to test the technique on humans should be realised within a year, according to the Safar Centre.

What the fuck.
This is a huge medical breakthrough.

Imagine the possibilities and future humans have in store just from this new technology.
